CHANGE OF PRACTISING STATUS OF REGISTRATION
A medical practitioner whose status was that of:
- Not Practising or Occasional Practise under the Medical Act 1894 (as amended); OR
- Non-Practising under the Medical Practitioners Act 2008 ("the Act")
AND
who wishes to upgrade his or her practising status is entitled to apply for a change of registation status on payment of the practice fee as defined in the Medical Practitioner Regulations 2008.

RESTORATION OF REGISTRATION
The Medical Board may, and on some occasions, must under the Act erase the name of a person from the Register in the following circumstances:
- Section 46 (2)
If a medical practitioner fails in any year to pay the renewal fee on or before 30 September
- Section 52
If a medical practitioner makes a request in writing to the Board under Section 52 (1) of the Act that his/her name be removed from the register
- Section 54
A medical practitioner has been convicted of an offence under Section 133(1)(a) in relation to an application under the Act for registration
- Section 56 (1) (b)
The name of a medical practitioner has been removed from the register of medical practitioners in another State or Territory
Subject to the grounds as to why the person's name was removed from the Register, the person is entitled to
apply for restoration to the Register upon payment of fees as determined by the Medical Practitioners Regulations 2008. If you
